Joint DEFINE Policy Brief by Oeko-Institut and DIW Berlin

In the context of the project DEFINE, Oeko-Institut and DIW Berlin jointly analyzed possible future interactions of the introduction of electromobility with the German power system. We were particularly interested in the impacts of electric vehicles (EV) on the dispatch of power plants, the integration of fluctuating renewable energy, and resulting CO2 emissions under different assumptions on the mode of vehicle charging.
