Special Expertise

The focus of his work at the Öko-Institut is the statistical analysis of large household data sets (MiD, MOP, SOEP, EVS) to answer policy-relevant questions. Among other things, he deals with the quantification of the effects of various climate policy instruments. A special focus of his work is the analysis of distributional effects and possible alternative design variants of policy instruments, such as company car taxation or CO2 pricing.
