Update of a guidance for the accounting of NDCs with absolute or relative mitigation targets related to a baseline. Review of UNFCCC reporting requirements and identification of best practice examples in the waste sector.

In this project, a guidance is updated providing advice for the accounting of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). Suggestions relate to mitigation targets relative to a reference scenario (baseline). The guidance is updated considering the requirements of the Modalities, Procedures and Guidelines (MPGs) adopted in Katowice. In addition, for the waste sector, reporting requirements under UNFCCC and best-practice examples are collated.
