Nature-based measures for climate and biodiversity protection in selected National Determined Contributions

The aim of this project is to provide insights into the design and implementation of nature-based measures of climate protection within the framework of the German Federal Action Plan on Nature-based Solutions for Climate and Biodiversity. This involves identifying such nature-based measures from selected countries and critically examining their strategies and experiences with these measures. In particular, the synergies between climate and biodiversity protection measures will be explored. The analysis focuses on the nature-based climate protection measures that are specified in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and how they are taken into account. It aims to identify which nature-based measures of climate protection have been implemented in a particularly successful way.
