In addition to the classic life cycle assessment analysis, an in-depth substance and material analysis is planned. The overriding objective is to carry out an integrated assessment of the relevant substances and materials for the inventories determined with regard to their compatibility with the REACH Regulation, RoHS/WEEE Directive and the circular economy approach. On this basis, specific and practice-oriented recommendations with regard to the substitution of critical substances or materials and risk management measures are to ensure sustainable technology development and the production of PV modules in line with sustainability aspects.
