Framework agreement on scientific support for climate change mitigation measures and related climate policy issues

In this framework contract, the contractors support the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation, and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) in

• developing proposals for measures, impact assessments, evaluation papers
• scientific, quantitative, and  qualitative analyses of the German Environment Ministry's own proposals and those of other ministries, and
• preparing of brief studies on current topics in the climate and energy policy debate.

This supports the statutory mandate of the BMUKN and other ministries  to propose climate protection measures in accordance with the German Federal Climate Protection Act and the sectoral targets set therein. Proposals are also being developed for further development of European climate and energy policy, as well as for the implementation of changes to the European climate policy legal framework.
