Development of standards for municipal climate protection monitoring,including the further development of BISKO. Guidelines for effectivemunicipal climate protection.

The aim of the project, carried out in collaboration with the ifeu Institute and the Climate Alliance, is to further develop the BISKO standard for effective and meaningful municipal climate protection monitoring, as well as to promote its long-term adoption. Key components of this further development include the evaluation of municipal climate protection measures, the assessment of municipal climate protection potentials, and the development of a standard for calculating municipal climate protection scenarios. The focus is on scientific rigour, the incorporation of new areas of focus (e.g. integration of the LULUCF sector) and practical applicability.
