Development of a rating of designated operational entities (DOEs) under the Clean Development Mechanism

On behalf of WWF, Oeko-Institut developed a rating of designated operational entities (DOEs), which validate project proposals under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). The objective of the rating is to assess the extent to which DOEs fulfil the requirements and expectations of the CDM Executive Board. The project thereby aims to provide the international community and the market with more transparency and to help project participants in selecting a DOE. The report describes the methodology used to rate the DOEs and documents the results of this first rating.
