Capacity Building Emissions Trading to support bilateral cooperation

In order to achieve the two-degree target set out in the Paris climate agreement, many jurisdictions are currently considering introducing a carbon price as part of the implementation of their Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs). These include a number of countries for which emissions trading is the instrument of choice or which are considering this option. Within the scope of this project, the Federal Environment Ministry will be able to offer comprehensive support to interested countries for the establishment of its own national emissions trading systems in bilateral exchange of different formats.
