This online forum is dedicated to the upcoming changes in the textile sector. In view of new regulatory requirements, such as the ban on unsold goods and the separate collection of textile waste, industry and consumers are facing major challenges. This may increase the volume of reusable textiles, with implications for business models, market mechanisms, prices and export volumes. The aim of the event is to open up new perspectives and raise awareness of future trends and possible rebound effects. The online forum will be held in English. The online forum is part of the Oeko-Institut's Science Forum 2024 "Circular Economy - What's next?". Further information and registration options for the individual events will be available from July 2024 at www.oeko.de/wissenschaftsforum2024.
