A perfect circle: How does the circular economy work?
For many people, a closed-loop economy simply means waste management – but there is much more to a circular economy than that. The aim is to close and slow down resource cycles. A circular economy recognises concepts such as waste prevention, reuse and repair. It starts with product design and encompasses manufacturing and (re)use.
In the latest issue of eco@work, we take an in-depth look at the circular economy. We examine effective strategies and mechanisms, casting a glance at Germany, Europe and the international context. We also focus on the circular economy in the packaging sector. And Walter R. Stahel, Founder of the Product-Life Institute in Geneva, reports on the countless opportunities to progress the circular economy.
