Back to the beginning: Sustainable supply chains

[Translate to English:] Jetzt online: Die neue eco@work!

The path that leads to sustainable supply chains is often highly complex and stony. This issue of eco@work looks at how social and environmental improvements can nevertheless be achieved – by businesses, politicians and consumers.

In the January edition of eco@work “Back to the beginning: Sustainable supply chains” we focus on the challenges that face sustainable supply chains and how they can be tackled. We also present nine propositions from the Oeko-Institut that address these issues, and we report on a self-funded project in the Environmental Law & Governance Division that is examining sustainability standards and initiatives. In our interview, Maren Barthel, Corporate Responsibility Manager at the Otto Group, talks about her work with textile factories in India, China, Bangladesh and Turkey.
