Professional Training and Career

  • 1989 – 1993: Undergraduate studies in Environmental and Hygiene Engineering, specializing in waste, water and wastewater, at the Gießen-Friedberg University of Applied Sciences; graduated with the title Diplom-Ingenieur (FH) für Umwelt- und Hygienetechnik
  • 1994 – 1999: Project engineer and consultant for the higher supervisory authority, for municipalities, the private sector and individuals in the fields of contaminated sites, remedial action, disposal management and landfill engineering
  • With the Öko-Institut since 1999
