Update of the environmental comparison of transport modes and revision of the leaflet ‘Environmentally friendly transport!*

This project aims to update the comprehensive and detailed data set used in the study ‘Ecological Comparison of Modes of Transport’ (2020) and the accompanying summary leaflet ‘Environmentally Friendly Transport!’. The focus is primarily on the energy requirements, greenhouse gas and air pollutant emissions, land use and environmental costs of the individual modes of transport in Germany across all four life cycle stages (infrastructure, vehicle and energy provision, and use). In addition to the final report and the revision of the accompanying brochure ‘Environmentally Friendly Mobility!’ (2021), the comprehensive, transparent data collection and all calculation steps will be well documented, and the results will be made available in tabular form.
