Transitioning towards sustainable transport in a socially acceptable manner: Distributional effects of policy instruments

The aim of the project is to conduct an analysis of the economic distribution effects for relevant instruments in the transport sector and to identify a socially acceptable path for climate protection in transport. For this purpose, the economic effect of a CO2 price in the transport sector on households in Germany will be analyzed and determined for different social groups. Different redistribution mechanisms are investigated in order to assess the social compatibility of the different mechanisms. Part of the project is also to discuss the findings of the project with stakeholders.
