The project involves an evaluation of the Robert Bosch Foundation's funding programme ‘The future is on the menu! Shaping nutrition together’. The programme aims to initiate and support democratic negotiation processes in the development and implementation of transformative solutions for socially just and ecologically sustainable food environments at the local level. The focus is on ten selected rural, structurally weak regions in which approaches for more sustainable nutrition are being developed and implemented with the involvement of various stakeholders, in particular local politicians and administrators. The Öko-Institut's task is to conduct a formative evaluation of the programme's overall impact and its impact at the project level, i.e. to feed interim evaluation results into the project process and to carry out a final evaluation.
