Technical development and modelling of the VfU indicators tool 2026

The project entails the technical and methodological enhancement of the Excel‑based VfU Indicator Tool as part of the 2026 update. Core activities include the review, optimisation and, where required, redesign of existing calculation logics, formulas and data flows to ensure consistency across input, calculation and output sheets, fully aligned with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and current regulatory requirements (e.g. CSRD). The project also covers the technical implementation of new functionalities, such as a user‑friendly selection of reference years and ecoinvent versions, and the integration and validation of updated emission factors. Additional tasks include evaluating user feedback, conducting a critical review of selected ecoinvent processes, and providing clear documentation of all methodological updates. The work will be carried out in close coordination with VfU e.V. and E2 Management Consulting AG and includes support during the beta‑testing phase.
