Support for the review of Regulation (EU) 2019/1242 (CO2 emission standards for heavy-duty vehicles) as referred to in its Article 15

The aim of this project is to assist the Commission with the following tasks:

• an economic analysis of the EU heavy-duty vehicle sector;
• an assessment of the framework conditions for meeting CO ₂ emission reduction targets, in particular those applicable during the 2030 reporting period;
• a technical analysis to evaluate the Regulation in accordance with the guidelines on better regulation;
• the review of the Regulation, in particular with regard to the elements referred to in Article 15(1) and the impact assessment;
• the public consultation to be conducted as part of the above-mentioned assessment and review;
• Ad hoc issues relating to the implementation or review of Regulation (EU) 2019/2141.
