Study on the opportunities and challenges regarding the deployment of (semi-)private charging infrastructure for trucks

This project examines the opportunities and challenges for expanding depot charging for battery electric trucks and formulates country-specific and cross-border recommendations for action at European level. Charging in truck depots is analysed from the perspective of logistics companies and energy suppliers in four countries: Germany, France, Spain and the United Kingdom (UK). In addition to extensive literature research, four country workshops on depot charging were held with various interest groups, with a total of more than 80 participants, as well as five follow-up interviews.

The Oeko-Institut was involved in all work packages and led the analysis of the opportunities and challenges for logiscs.
