Stakeholder Workshop and Guideline Development on Battery Recycling Ecosystems in Thailand

The increasing uptake of electric vehicles in Thailand necessitates strategic planning for sustainable end-of-life management of batteries. The objective of this project is to deliver a comprehensive implementation guide that will enable Thailand to establish a sustainable battery recycling ecosystem. The guide will provide policymakers and industry stakeholders with clear, actionable steps tailored to Thailand's regulatory environment, market conditions and infrastructure capacity. The steps involve conducting a multi-day stakeholder workshop in Thailand to gather different perspectives from relevant stakeholders with the aim of building consensus, analysing international best practices and successful models from comparable markets, and summarising these findings in a report that is relevant to Thai stakeholders and provides practical recommendations, including a proposed timeline for implementation. The end result will serve as both a strategic roadmap and an operational toolkit to ensure that stakeholders can move from awareness to action in developing a new system.
