Research and legal assistance in the evaluation of a new renewable heat instrument within the scope of implementation of the German government’s Energy concept of 28.09.2010

The project aims to systematically analyze the potential of budget-independent instruments to promote renewable energies in the heating market. The focus is on the question of whether such instruments can enable a more reliable and sustainable market development than the budget-based support programs used to date. Various regulatory and financial approaches are evaluated on the basis of defined criteria such as legal feasibility, economic viability, ecological impact, political acceptance, effectiveness and efficiency. The aim is to identify viable options for a stable and effective long-term funding policy in the heating sector.
