Recycling of mattresses in Germany

On behalf of NABU, an overview of the mattress waste stream in Germany is prepared. The focus is on current recycling projects in Germany and abroad and on applied and possible recycling technologies as well as on the political implementation of extended producer responsibility in neighbouring European countries. The outlook points out which political framework conditions in Germany would support the establishment of a comprehensive infrastructure for the collection, dismantling and recycling of mattresses.
