Within this project Oeko-Institut provides comprehensive information from desk research and interviews with European focus to following factsheets topics:

- 1. Demand of primary raw materials for different battery types

- 2. Overview and debate of demand of secondary raw materials as postulated in the CRMA and the Battery Regulation and active and planned recycling capacities and technologies and the potential of re-mining of tailings in Europe

- 3. Overview and debate on possible negative and positive environmental impacts of more mining and battery recycling activities in Europe and less imports of primary raw materials from the Global South

- 4. Best practice cases of SLO & lessons learned from active mining sites and battery recycling factories
