Multi-family buildings: The blind spot of the social heat transition - Distribution of energy use and energy costs for households in multi-family houses

The study sheds light on the housing situation, heating energy costs and the resulting burden on households in multi-family houses. It focuses on particularly affected groups in order to provide indications of hardship cases and the need for action. The study outlines how measures can have a targeted and sustainable effect in order to relieve vulnerable households and reduce their fossil energy consumption. Attention is paid to the gas price cap, which was introduced as a relief measure for the current high energy prices due to the war in Ukraine.
