Further development of the EU ETS in aviation III

The aim of this project is to support the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUV) and the Federal Environment Agency (UBA) with scientific expertise in the discussion processes on the further treatment of aviation in emissions trading and under CORSIA. During the term of the research project, the revision of the Emissions Trading Directive, the development of further EU dossiers relevant to aviation, and the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) in the ICAO will be continuously monitored and evaluated by the contractors. Based on this observation, all agreed analyses are closely coordinated with UBA. Analysis and evaluation of proposals from a wide range of political actors as well as the development of own proposals.
