Expert analysis of Germany’s heat and cooling market and preparation of the progress report on German Renewable Energies Heating Act (EEWärmeG)

The project will support the Federal Ministry for the Environment (BMU) by analysing the heating and cooling market and preparing a progress report on the Renewable Energies Heat Act (EEWärmeG). This involves continuously collecting data, developing forecasts for the heating market and evaluating political instruments for promoting renewable heat, as well as developing a scientific basis for amending the EEWärmeG. Furthermore, implementation recommendations from the previous progress report will be specified, and adaptation proposals for new and public buildings will be developed. Furthermore, recommendations will be drawn up to improve the data situation and the methodological development of the progress report.
