Comparison of existing methods for the assessment of night-time aircraft noise and for decisions on structural noise protection for bedrooms

The aim of this project is to analyze existing methods for assessing nighttime aircraft noise at airports. In doing so, the project team considers event-related parameters in particular.

The evaluation of the event-related limitation criteria is based on a detailed analysis and classification of the current state of noise impact research, supported by surveys on aircraft noise impact ("annoyance surveys") among residents at three German commercial airports.
