Climate risk analysis for VfB Stuttgart

As part of the climate risk analysis commissioned by VfB Stuttgart, an overview was first provided of the scientific findings regarding the consequences of climate change. Building on this, the identified hazards – heat, flooding, heavy rain, thunderstorms, storms, drought and snowfall – were examined, and potential impacts were analysed based on scientific findings on climate change as well as information from site visits, interviews and questionnaires. These impacts and potential risks were examined in terms of impact chains for the relevant VfB Stuttgart sites. The risk classification was discussed during a physical workshop with relevant stakeholders and finally summarised in the climate risk analysis. Initial measures were also identified and documented as part of the risk analysis.
