Climate-neutral building stock 2050 II

This project complements the study Climate Neutral Building Stock 2050, which examines how the German building stock can be transformed into an almost climate-neutral state by 2050. Two sensitivities are considered within the project framework. The following two aspects are examined:

* the further savings potential that exists in the area of cooling and ventilation, e.g. by means of effective ventilation concepts, passive cooling techniques, increased use of daylight, and

* the effects of hotter summers on the building stock and energy consumption.

In addition, some of the calculations developed in the Climate Neutral Building Stock 2050 study are re-calibrated using a modified calibration.
