Analysis and technical evaluation of measures at nuclear installations in decommissioning in accordance with Section 7 of the Atomic Energy Act and during the operation of research reactors, including the consideration of public participation in decommissioning procedures in a national as well as in an international context

The objective of the project is to advise the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Nuclear Safety and Consumer Protection (BMUV) on scientific-technical issues arising at short notice within the scope of its responsibilities for the federal supervision of the German nuclear power plants in decommissioning, the public participation taking place in this respect and on the research reactors. For this purpose, facts are to be researched on various questions of generally limited scope arising at short notice in the BMUV, evaluation standards are to be developed and assessments on technical-scientific facts are to be given, as well as participation in an OECD NEA committee for the consideration of public participation in decommissioning. This is intended to provide short-term support to the BMUV.
