Analysis and evaluation of the development status, safety and regulatory framework for so-called novel reactor concepts

In this research project, the current development status of relevant so-called novel reactor concepts is analyzed and evaluated. Of particular interest are the technical development status of the concepts, plans for the realization of the concepts, nuclear safety and possible risks, fuel supply and disposal, proliferation risks as well as possible gaps in the international regulatory framework and in selected national regulations.
