A life with the raw material consumption of 7 tons per capita in Germany: Preliminary study for the preparation of the scientific data basis and the communicative implementation

The project aims to develop visions and practical pathways for a society in which resource consumption is limited to seven tonnes per capita per year. Together with various social groups, future scenarios will be created that are both ecologically sustainable and socially accepted. Through participatory processes and scientific analyses, actionable options will be identified to help achieve this target. The results are intended to support the development of policy measures that enable an absolute reduction in resource use and are supported by the public. The focus is on building acceptance for the goal and providing concrete, feasible solutions for policymakers and society.
