A climate strategy for the federal state of Bavaria

The project aims to develop a climate protection strategy for the Free State of Bavaria, identifying key areas for climate policy action in the process. The focus is on analysing how Bavaria can contribute to Germany's wider energy transition. This transition is guided by core objectives, including the phasing out of nuclear energy, reducing CO emissions by 40% by 2020, doubling energy productivity and expanding the use of renewable energy and combined heat and power generation. The project's goal is to outline concrete, feasible policy options for an effective, economically viable and politically actionable climate strategy at state level.
