40 years of Blue Angel – refinement of the existing product range

In this research project, criteria for the award of the Blue Angel eco-label for various product groups and services are being continuously developed and improved. For this purpose, products are analysed along their life cycle and environmentally relevant product properties are identified. These product properties are translated into award criteria for top ecological products and discussed with the indus-try, environmental and consumer associations and sci-ence representatives. Product groups to be investigated within this project are software, server and storage sys-tems, vacuum cleaner bags, colocation computer centres, Voice-over-IP telephones, telephone systems, digital cordless telephones and other product groups to be defined in the course of the project.
