Public Relations & Communications Department

The Public Relations & Communications Department represents the Oeko-Institut externally. Tasks include the conception and implementation of press and public relations work, such as writing press releases, organising press meetings and conferences, designing the website and other print products such as the annual report and brochures on current topics. The presence in the social media Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, LinkedIN, FlickR and Slideshare as well as a monthly newsletter contribute to making the topics of the Oeko-Institut accessible to a broad public. Last but not least, the Public Relations & Communication Department regularly organises events such as scientific conferences and the General Assembly.

The unit is also responsible for editing and publishing the online magazine eco@work, which appears four times a year. eco@work contains up-to-date reports on projects and results from the Institute's departments. Readers also find out how the Institute positions itself on controversial issues in environmental policy. Members of the Oeko-Institut receive a printed copy of the magazine exclusively.
