Sustainable Resource Management

How to reduce the environmental impacts of globally rising resource appropriations? How to tap efficiency gains (in materials and energy) in all stages of production chains? What contributions can be made by internationally optimized closed-loop materials management, the use of renewable resources, and the intensified exchange of experience and technological cooperation with newly industrializing and developing countries? What opportunities do new key technologies provide while taking account of and preventing new risks?

We tackle all of these questions in great detail, always keeping sight of the social and economic challenges presented by sustainable resource management.
