abstract = {Reliable data is needed to make an informed assessment of the ecological footprint of telecommunications networks. The EU Commission plans to introduce a code of conduct on the sustainability of telecommunications networks at the end of 2025. This is based on a JRC study (2024) that identifies eight key indicators in the areas of energy, greenhouse gases and the circular economy. The Federal Network Agency commissioned Öko-Institut Consult to conduct a study to develop suitable sustainability indicators and support companies in their reporting.},
