abstract = {This evaluation study assesses whether Directive 2006/66/EC adequately addresses and implements the Directive’s objectives and whether the Directive’s legal requirements at the EU level and their implementation at the Member State level support the general objectives of EU environmental policy. The evaluation is performed in line with the EC Better Regulation Guidelines, and helps the European Commission assessing the actual performance of the Directive compared to initial expectation.},
