Global Emission Model for Integrated Systems (GEMIS) Version 4.7

GEMIS 4.7 offers a few internal model improvements, most notably an updated and expanded database  

Due to changes in the database structure, the new data cannot be used in earlier GEMIS versions. Therefore, we urge all users to use only GEMIS Version 4.7 for any future application. Existing data from own applications can be added to the database using menu option “File\Append project”.

The new version is now ready for download - we have updated Version 4.7. and corrected some data. Please see our information and tips under setup

What's new in GEMIS 4.7?

Modelling:

• a few improvements in the handling of transport processes
• the allocation options were debugged

Database extensions/updates:

• all cost and price data were converted to €₂₀₁₀
• the electricity generation mixes for all EU and many other countries were updated (esp. GHG emissions), with scenarios for 2020-2030 based on IEA data
• new transport data from the BMU-sponsored study renewbility
• update for many data on bioenergy, and deletion of old, obsolete data
• data on biorefineries from the BMU-sponsored study BioCouple
• data on European food 2010-2030 from the EU-FP7-project EUPOPP
