About Öko-Institut

Öko-Institut (Institute for Applied Ecology) is a non-governmental, non-profit environmental research organization based in Germany. Areas of work are chemistry and material flows, energy systems, genetic engineering, international environmental law, nuclear risks, and transport.
The scope of work is from local initiatives, businesses, and governments to the national and European level, international NGOs, "global players", and UN organizations like UNDP, GEF, and the World Bank.
