Brussels Workshop 'Sustainability requirements for biofuels - German Perspectives'
As part of our ongoing research project on sustainability requirements for globally traded biomass sponsored by the German Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt), an informal one-day workshop in Brussels on January 25, 2008 presented the scientific background of the German sustainability requirements for biofuels, focussing on GHG accounting, land-use, and biodiversity as well as the EU proposal for biofuel requirements.
