Our 2010 Conference logo is from the gravestone of Mr. Byron Hayes who died March 6, 1836.

It is located in Granville's Old Colony Burying Ground, established in 1805.
 



The 2010 AGS Conference was held at Denison University in Granville, Ohio. It was a great success! For information about the events offered, please click on the underlined links, below, for details.

Tours:

Guided motorcoach tours were scheduled for both Wednesday and Saturday. Conferees had the opportunity to visit many Central Ohio cemeteries, where they had the opportunity to see gravestones carved by several different carvers. A stop at the Great Circle Earthworks was also included on the Wednesday bus tour.

Several different workshops were offered on Thursday and Friday, in the classroom and in various nearby cemeteries.

Late Night Sessions:

The evening lectures were followed by "late night," which is a much more informal gathering where conference participants are encouraged to share their interests, photo images, and gravestone or cemetery-related experiences.
